Another Year Older

Today is my birthday. I share a birthday with Chelsea Clinton, Ralph Nader, Elizabeth Taylor, Joanne Woodward, John Steinbeck, Ariel Sharon, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Nothing much happened. I woke up. I talked to my parents and made plans for the evening. I parented. I went out to a restaurant with the family. It was a very subdued birthday, which is how I like them. I'm not a big party/celebration guy. Generally I don't like being the focus of attention--it's an only child thing for me.

So I had the Pasta Napoli special at Milano's and the Espresso Torte, and called it a night. I didn't even finish my glass of wine.
