Working Around the Clock
I've been busily scribbling notes, writing essays, and attending to administrative bits and bobs, so it's been hard to get back into a blog-writing routine. Sorry 'bout that.

Nothing new to report. I spent a fine weekend watching football, hanging out with the boys, and seeing movies. I saw the very excellent The King's Speech with Meredith. The theater audience applauded when it was over, and at two hours in length, it felt like a mere 30 minutes went by. It was good.
I was surprised that The Social Network took home the Golden Globe last night, but I haven't seen it, so I suppose I shouldn't talk.
Portman definitely should've won for her role in Black Swan, and I was happy she did. I didn't see a lot of the other movies that were being talked up, what with having two small kids and all.

Currently, I'm procrastinating. I should be annotating my students' poems right now.

Meredith and I have been watching the Twilight films over the past few nights while the kids were asleep. We were getting Showtime for free for a couple of nights and I took the liberty of Tivo'ing several films that we hadn't gotten a chance to see. The two Twilight films were among them.
They're bloody awful.
We can't wait for the summer when True Blood starts up again.

Nothing else to report. I can't wait until the AWP Conference. I'll have a few more things to say then, I'm sure.
